Free Fall
My friend watched a woman jump to her death this morning from the fourteenth floor of a building. She said the woman fell in a sitting position with her satchel bag strapped across her chest and clutched to her side. She was in her 40’s. There was a dull thud as the body hit the pavement. There was immediate commotion as people ran to the scene holding mobile phones to their ears. There was the wail of a siren in the distance. Who was this woman? What made her jump? Was life so unbearable that suicide was her only option?

i only noticed the (100 words) the second time around. yes, i've tried these, they're quite challenging. can i ask is it for a submission on a prompt site?
hmm, i've heard that sound too. a woman jumped from a car park roof just after i had passed underneath. i wonder if it was just chance timing or whether she had waited on the edge for me to get clear. a very strange incident.
Yes, the 100 words writing is very challenging but it soon becomes a habit after doing it for a while. And no, it's not for a submission on a prompt site it's just something I thought I would do for a month to see if I could and to develop discipline when it comes to writing.
